With much to offer, the town and surrounding area does not really enter winter hibernation and you will be amazed by the hive of activity and the scenic countryside.  Great Yarmouth is a very busy and popular seaside resort, voted in the top 3.  Great Yarmouth Gardens

 

During the summer season, there are some really good shows with some famous names such as Jimmy Carr, very popular.  Every Wednesday there is a firework display  at 10pm, they start of the last Wednesday of July to the Wednesday following Bank holiday.


The beautiful countryside surrounding Great Yarmouth is a haven for wildlife, including Waterways (pictured here) within walking distance of No78, explore and enjoy the seasonal changes.

 

The Norfolk Broads are a great way to spend a day, either walking round some of the broads, along the rivers or by taking a boat trip.


History stops for nobody and Great Yarmouth's fascinating heritage is waiting to be unravelled and secrets discovered throughout the year.


The resort buzzes with greyhound and stockcar racing throughout the year and horse racing fixtures running from April to November. Events in the area range from maritime events,new in 2010 Mardi gras, classic car rallies and carnivals to the Bowls Championships and Christmas market, French markets and a Christmas market.

Exploring East Anglia's countryside you will find something appealing for everyone from impressive attractions such as rural crafts, animal collections, gardens and windmills to historic houses, castles and archaeological remains.  The Norfolk Broads are full of wildlife, have lunch in the many pubs with views over broads.

 

The City of Norwich is approximately 30 minutes drive from Great Yarmouth. A city of heritage; with a Norman Keep, splendid Cathedral and Churches, whilst also offering outstanding theatre shows, fantastic shopping and grand open air market.  Park and ride recommended from Postwick.

 

The annual Lowestoft Airshow is early in 2012 as it will be held in June.  Well worth coming along for 2 full days of fun, please give a donation if you do go it helps to keep the show going for another year.
