No 78 Bed & Breakfast

Terms and Conditions

WE HAVE A NO SMOKING POLICY AT No78- please respect this.

 

We aim to provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at No.78, but unfortunately there are always one or two that will spoil things, so our terms and conditions are for the comfort of everyone that stays with us. 

 

Arrival and check in/out

 

Check in from 15:00 to 18:00.  Please do not arrive before as your room may not be ready.  Checking out by 10:30 am.  If you wish to stay longer than 10:30 subject to availability of the room, longer stay may be possible at an extra charge of £20, this is to cover the extra cost of a late clean. Please ask first.

 

If you are going to arrive later than 18:00 please inform us at time of booking.  Late check in by arrangement.  The door is not answered after 10pm.

 

A deposit is required to reserve the room and is non-refundable, if paying by credit or debit card payment is taken at time of booking. If you are unable to secure the booking with a credit/debit card then we require a cheque/postal order/bankers draft for the first night accommodation.  Please ensure this is received at No78 within 10 days of your enquiry or your booking will be cancelled.  If you need to cancel your reservation or leave early a credit note may be issued, we do not give a refund.

 

If a cheque used to cover payment is returned, we will make every effort to contact you regarding the matter before any further action is taken and with increased costs may seek recovery of bank charges (£30). If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days leading up to arrival or you do not show, No.78 reserves the right to retain payment or take full payment.

 

We take all bookings in good faith, but once a booking has been received and confirmed the booking becomes a contract.

 

The reservation is for the guest(s) at time of booking and may have access at all times.  In the interests of security and health and safety and fire requirements, we must insist that you do not bring non paying family, friends or colleagues into the premises without obtaining our prior consent.  We reserve the right to charge full rate for these additional guests. 

 

During July, August  and Bank Holidays, there is a minimum stay of 2 nights.

 

Food

Apart from the sundries available, we ask that you do not bring food back to your room, we are happy to supply plates and cutlery so you can eat your food in the guest lounge.

 

      Children

      Well behaved children aged 10 and above and at the discretion of No78 are welcome at an additional charge of £15 each per night (including breakfast) if they are staying in the parent's room. The maximum amount of children in any one room is 2 and is subject to availability. The minimum age for a child to have their own room is 16 and will be charged at the standard room rate.

       

      Single sex/large groups

       

      We do not knowingly take a single sex or large group (3 or more rooms/6 or more people) booking. We reserve the right to refuse a booking or accommodation if this condition has been over-ridden and our other guests are disturbed in any way.

       

      The Accommodation

       

      • No.78 Bed & Breakfast is completely non-smoking throughout the building that includes the bedrooms, hallways and out of the window.  Please do NOT smoke anywhere at No78 especially in the bedrooms, this is for the consideration of future guests.  A fee of £250 may be charged, this covers the cost of deodorising the room and loss of income whilst room out of action.  We reserve the right to ask you to leave without a refund for the room.  The fine if caught is £2500 this is the fine that can be imposed if caught smoking by law.  We do not benefit from this as it goes straight out in a fine.

       

      • We understand that accidents happen, however where items or fixtures and fittings are damaged in a manner that is not through normal use, or items are stolen, then we will seek to reclaim costs to replace or repair the items.  If an item is broken during your stay we would prefer it if you told us, we really do understand that accidents happen.
      • You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at £10 per set.
